Hi, I have been playing this server for close to a month now and a decent amount of people have been getting frustrated by the deaths we have had from the server unexpectedly restarting because we have no active admins or just too slack to give a warning. I would suggest that we need more active admins to at least give warning when the server restarts or goes down for an update.
The 6am restarts seem to not save game before taking it down and rolls back about ten minutes. The easy way to avoid that is to get indoors before 5:50am but it can be difficult to get back in time if you underestimate the travel time.
A couple of nights ago around 6:30pm no one could join the server due to the high ping (I am guessing) and I dc'd (which it rolled back quite awhile) at about 8:30pm and was not able to get on until 2pm the next day which was complete bullshit. I was safe at the time that I timed out and the server rolled back to when I was outside of the building getting water and I would have died if my tribe mate had not died.
Constantly the server gets an insane boost to the ping which is very annoying when you get rubber banded a far distance or when you are attacking a dinosaur you have to wait a few seconds for the lag to clear. Some times the ping gets so bad that you freeze and then get timed out. Maybe a server wipe will help and remove lag from all of the old dinos and bases that have been built around the island.
This is all very frustrating and I have lost two inventories of loot today from the 6am roll back and an un-warned restart. A couple of my friends and I are on the search for a decent server but we will stick around if these problems are fixed. Sorry to bug you about these complicated issues but they are very much annoying me and many others. Adios
